Wolf,
You're paying for an enclosure and a firewire hub and a usb hub. Do you really need all of that? If not, you can save yourself a good chunk of money buy going with an enclosure that is just an enclosure and not an enclosure that is also a firewire and usb hub. Robert

Actually, this will probably be used with an Airport Extreme with which I'll be using a USB printer. So yes, I could use the USB hub. I'm willing to spend a little extra for the case style (matching the Airport), but if savings are significant I could go with another enclosure.

I have version two and my only regret is not having version 3 for the FW800 and eSATA. Great little unit that fits well with the mini it is attached to. Always buy with the future needs in mind rather than minimal low cost.

The fan can get a bit noisy, but otherwise it's a solid enclosure. I have a version 3 with SATA (noisy fan) and a version 2 with PATA (not used as much, so the fan isn't noisy yet).

![]() Why in the world would they show it sitting on a powerbook's keyboard?

BL, it looks to me like they just photoshopped it into an apple promo shot.

Any PC tower enclosures that look like a G5?
or rather, any that don't cost like $200? |
