OT: Green Bay vs. Dallas
#11
I hope it's a minor injury. I'd really hate to see his season end this way.

I figured the steenkin' Cowboys would win, but was hoping…If the Boys end up in the Stupor Bowl, I will be rooting for whatever team plays them to stomp them into a thin red paste on the turf..

When did they start playing NFL on Thursday night, and ONLY showing the game on digital PPV?

Beginning with the 2006 season, the channel began to broadcast eight prime time regular season NFL games, dubbed "The Run to the Playoffs".

When did they start playing NFL on Thursday night, and ONLY showing the game on digital PPV? It's not on PPV-I'm watching it on Dish; regular programming. Some NFL games get moved to different nights when the college season is done.

Last year. Fortunately those were all bad games they had for Thursday broadcast. Comcast in some places has NFL package (all games on Sunday daytime) and network for a little more. Their pricing needs a crystal ball to figure out. I am not going to encourage them to continue but given the money the NFL is printing they are going to shove it down our throats.

The refusal to help out older vets from the NFL is shameful. They have so much money. Apparently current players had hand in this disgrace too. Buddy of mine used to lift weights at gym with all time great Raider center Jim Otto. He even got us free Superbowl tickets. Otto is such a mess physically he said he would not do it over again. Getting out of bed is a half hour's worth of agony. He does not qualify for the veteran help for later vets. The awful frequent occurrence of injuries particularly the QB concussions is scary. Such good entertainment though.

Barely can get *&%$#@ game on radio. So bad I gave up. Looks like going to be game.

Sorry, not PPV, just at least one tier up from expanded basic on my local Scumcast. If that it the case, it is an extra $30 or so. For that much, if I really cared about it, I would get Dish and DSL and save about $25 every month.

I "watched" on espn.com's "gamecast" thingie. But in reality I was literally guffawing over "My Name is Earl," and "30 Rock."

I also got the gamecast, but listened on the radio, with a 10 sec delay!

I can relate to that sentiment.

Sounds like it isn't too bad of an injury: apparently the ulnar nerve got a good whack. He said he could grip the ball, but wouldn't have wanted to throw it. He also separated his left shoulder, but didn't seem concerned about that. I hope 10 days is enough healing time.

Any bets on whether the Giants' now traditional second-half-of-the-season collapse is truly underway? It won't surprise me if the Bears kill them this week.
