He can write good songs, but his voice is torturous.

Songs in Toy Story & Monsters Inc.
Also, Short People, I Love L.A., etc.

Painful.

Looking at the store, I see a lot of retardedness. The 2GB RAM is "onboard"--no upgrade available even as CTO. The 64GB SSD drive costs $1000, and no non-SSD hard drive larger than 80GB.

No ethernet is ridiculous (I see the USB to 10/100 ethernet adapter).

[quote macphanatic]I can see a lot of business men who travel frequently wanting one. Road warriors are looking to downsize and reduce weight where ever possible. Sync it with a desktop in the office. Have a lightweight, functional laptop for traveling. Capable for email, office docs, presentations, etc. Only hurdle is watching movies, unless you rent or convert them. I would have like to have seen a wireless dock for usb, a/v, ethernet.
No ethernet is also a big hurdle. 1) Some cos. prohibit logging in to the co server via public WiFi and even if WiFi is allowed 2) a lot of hotels have ethernet broadband but no WiFi.

I understand that onboard ethernet had to be sacrificed but they could have make a dongle available or Express card slot.

Blu Ray will definitely have a wide niche, as most people aren't going to use the internet to watch rental movies, they'll still want real discs.

not necessarily true. i've been using Amazon UnBox to my Tivo for a number of months now. in fact, i get darn annoyed when Amazon doesn't have a title available and i have to actually go to a store to rent a disc.

now, if only iTunes could download to my Tivo so i wouldn't have to get an Apple TV.

A little too little too late, and no doubt DRM'd to the hilt, but the iTunes on DVD is the sort of thing I thought they'd never do.

Buy select DVDs and you get something extra free: an iTunes Digital Copy. Just pop the DVD into your computer and the iTunes version transfers to your iTunes library, ready to watch or sync to your iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV. Look for “iTunes Digital Copy” on the DVDs you buy, starting with the DVD release of Family Guy: Blue Harvest Special Edition.
