[quote billb]Used to.
Probably checked it every two minutes, too.
About 20 years ago decided not to be a 'type A' person any more.
If I'm late, I'm late.
If there are dishes in the sink, there are dishes in the sink.
If the floor hasn't been vacuumed for a month, that's what is.
I don't run out of toothpaste, deodorant or toilet paper.
Everything else I'll deal with when/if it happens.
Just curious... are you married?
Because if I became that way, my wife would kill me and I'd be a 'type R.I.P.' person.

Every day. I like watches, but I'm a bit too much of a cheapskate to be buying a Tag Heuer or some beautiful vintage watch that I'd really love to have.
I recently got two waches by Skagen, a Danish company. Typically understated, elegant, modern Danish design. My favorite one has a black face, ultra thin body, and a black metal meshy band. A lot more elegant and distinctive than the Fossils I used to wear.

Always except for bed and shower. I could be sitting in front of a clock and will still look at my wrist watch.
I've got a good one with a broken hasp hat no jeweler would fix, and a bunch of others sent me by my sister who is a catalog addict and always buys stuff I don't need and sends it to me.
On of my exes wore a watch ALL the time except in the shower. Drove me nuts.

Timex Data-Link. Wear it all day at work but off at home. Weekends only if I go out. Useful because it contains my phone number database (which is redundant because they're in my cell, but I don't remember to take that most of the time).

Absolutely. Watches are not about practicality, they are about style and class. I don't know anyone who would not wear a watch to work or to a cocktail party. The only exception is someone under 25 who is still learning how to dress for success.
You can tell a lot a lot about a person and the watch they wear. I always size people up by the watch they wear and when they wear it. There are sports watches, power watches, guido watches, low-key watches, rich-bitch watches, I-have-arrived watches, geek watches, metro-sexual watches. So many watches, and they all are very telling about their owner.

LOL!
I can't wear one while typing or mousing but otherwise a very lightweight watch is ideal for me. I also like the Skagens...thin titanium watches for not a whole lot of money.

CellPhones, How Rude!
Was at a client meeting a few weeks ago, the person that signs the paychecks was talking.
He is a very good speaker, straight to the point medical professional.
About five minutes into a twenty minute talk about the new technology that they will be rolling out this year the "YoungUns" started picking up their CellPhones to check the time, everyone had been warned in the past to silence the ring and put the phones away during meetings.
He paused his speech, and told everyone about the cellphone rudeness, and said that the next person would be terminated.
Ten minutes later, they had an opening for a new tech!
