Is AOL email still only able to run via AOL?

My wife gets her AOL mail on her iphone, so it's certainly possible

Seen some bugginess lately in AOL on Leopard using IMAP: You can't delete messages. Anyone seen this? Switching to POP seems to solve this.

I agree with Davester on all points.

I like AOL, never had issues. Did not like paying for it, but it is FREE now. Still works fine.

In addition to what davester said, I get free McAfee Security suite to use on ALL PCs for my WindowsXP machines.

"AOL for OSX" still works somewhat with Leopard, some features are not working or have been disabled while developing AOL updated software. Currently, I have Beta version of the next upgrade (finally) for Leopard. We are currently on Beta Version 5. Hopefully, soon...
