Any way to know what TiBook model PB this screen is from?

I actually found this in the trash, and I put it up on ebay. It is beat-up and not in great shape, but someone will want it.

I'm getting a lot of questions as to what model TiBook it is from?

Any way to tell?

It's not the final generation 867/1GHz model. The font used for PowerBook G4 on the screen was different on that model than what you are showing.

Sure, but it was in the garbage. I'd love an 1152x768 titanium-clad digi-frame, but why would I think that thing still works?

I thought I would have preemted this discussion by saying that the screen was in bad shape, etc. I just wish people would stick to the original discussion (and not hotlink pictures from my site).

My original question: Any way to tell what model TiBook this is from?

Is it in bad shape or not functional? I'm curious...... I suppose others are too.

It should work in either the original or the gigabit TiBooks. The later DVI TiBooks had a grey and black colored inverter cable.

I have a TiBook 1GHz (DVI) that I'm looking at right now. The screen looks similar, "PowerBook G4" logo also. The four holes have Torx T6 screws in them (yours are empty). Sorry, but I haven't ripped it apart to see what the connectors look like.

It's pretty close, but could be from any of the similar models... Short of tearing it apart to see if there's a part number, I'm not sure how you'd know for certain (and even the part number might be the same among a series of models)...
