One of our own is gone
Well, this is certainly bringing out the whole group! And well it should.

Being more on the lurking side of the forum, I guess I didn't read his posts very carefully. i knew he had some family issues but missed the health issues.

I too will miss his presence here.

Holy crap.

'mint was indeed a character. I must say, more power to him to keep putting up with some of the crap he got here, even if it was mostly in good fun. I think deep down inside he knew we all cared for him. Here's hoping he's rooting for the Cubs as I write this. Rest in peace, 'mint. You're already missed.

Thanks for being a part of MR Forum minty, you are obviously already missed.

This is the first time I have lost an "i-friend". Like many of us here, I have interacted with the mint on and off the forum. Never met, never spoke, but there is a bond that certainly forms through this strange medium called the internet. It is a different kind of bond.

This place is my sounding board, my sanity check and my 24/7 help line! The diverse people and varying opinions, Spearmint being a great example, are what makes this place so special and different.

I hope the best for his true family, true friends and everyone on the forum who has experienced the mint.

R.I.P. Spearmint. Sad to say but, it looks like the relatives won by wearing you down. You'll be missed.

We may not have met but we are a community.

We might not recognize each other but we know of each other.

We might not share too much other than being Mac-folk but we are sharing now.

Rest in peace 'Mint.

Be well

Sorry to hear he's gone. I disagreed with his politics, but never with rancor. In real life he might have been the guy in the bar to argue with over a drink. But otherwise he always came across as an okay guy. Wished he had found his MacBook deal a bit sooner, had been rooting for him to find one that suited him. He did have his problems, but not knowing him in person it is hard to say which came first in cause and affect, the stress or the problems.

My condolences to his family. He was one of the good guys.

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction is holding me fast
How can I escape this irresistible grasp?

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earthbound misfit, I

Wow.

I'm saddened by his passing. He certainly was a character, fiery and outspoken on the political side of this forum, but helpful and open about his needs on this side of the forums.

He will truly be missed. May he be in his mother's warm embrace and cheering the Cubbies with the other fans on the other side.
