Like everybody else, I had a soft spot for the man. I'll miss him.

sad sad news...
I don't know much about him, I remember he was gone for a while and then he came back on the forum and said something about being moved from his apartment and his laptop got "stolen" by his brother-in-law, which he later found in a box, and then I remember he had some car trouble, was trying to swap an engine in a Buick? Anyway, I don't know much about him, but I remember his posts about the car, about the laptop, about his Brother multi-function unit which he could not get to work properly, and so on. I also remember I had trouble making sense of some of his posts. Anyway, May He Rest In Peace.

Another frequent lurker popping up to sigh heavily and wish Spearmint a peaceful path and fair winds on his journey.
So glad he had finally ordered the new MacBook, but I truly wish he had at least gotten the thrill of opening the box... such a special moment, as the shiny computer emerges from amongst all that elegant packaging, and every ounce of buyer's stress and remorse disappears...surely he deserved at least that moment. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Whatever can be said about him and his words...he as a person genuinely cared about being a part of this, his, our community. And for that, he was part of the soul that I've come to know as the DealMac/Apple Switcher/Mac Resource forums. All of us, regardless of whether we lurk in the background or are front and center, are a part of this experience. And like life itself, we will heal and move on. But forget we won't. I'm sure we've lost people over the years, some that we aren't even aware of, and others that we are (St. Lope). But through the memories of all here, we live on, in at least some way.
P.S. - Has anyone posted news of his demise at DealMac or Apple Switcher? |
