Need a keyboard - Recommendations?

I need to buy a new (wired) keyboard. Any recommendations on good ones to look at? It can be geared to either PC or Mac and have a USB interface. TIA.

Two weeks ago I got a few Logitech: wireless wave keyboard and mouse combo for $40 at Staples, a cordless Media Pro with an integrated trackpad fo $44 at Circuit City, and a Classic Keyboard 200 (USB) for $14.00 at Staples. The latest is cheap looking and made. Still, its keys are responsive and comfortable to type.

I adore my Matias Tactile Pro but i have the original model, not the newer flavor. Avoid the Matias Mac OS X keyboard. Awful! If you like the feel of notebook computer keys, thhen check out the MacAlly Icekey. I just got one for my office computer it's surprised me. I like it quite a bit! (MacAlly also sells the Ikey, which is not to be confused with the IceKey model).

The best method for keyboards is to take a ride to a local store like Micro Center and test out the keyboards they have on display. Your fingers will choose the keyboard that's right for you. It might be a Microsoft model. It might be a MacAlly Icekey.

I have one of the new flat Apple ones and I like it quite a bit.
It feels better than I thought it would, and I'm preferring it to my old Macally ikey, which is 7 years old.
The Apple is pricey compared to some of those above.
Only complaint is the small size of the "F" keys.

I, too, really like my flat Apple keyboard. A lot less clunky than the big white ones.

I have a recent vintage Macally iKey. It took some time to break in, but I do like it. But them new fangled flat steely looking jobs that Apple sells, they are awesome! Out of the box.

I've got the new Apple BT and wired keyboards, and they're really great.

The nice thing about the wired is the length-- it fits well in the lap.

Microsoft makes/sells some great keyboards. My favorite of those is the Natural Curve 2000. The short-travel keys have a nice feel. They're probably rubber membrane underneath, so I bought three for $20 each.

I like the feature set of the MS 4000, but the travel is a bit longer. Newer versions of that keyboard have a better feel than mine.

I'm still using my old Apple Extended with a dongle to connect it to USB. I can type faster with fewer mistakes on it than anything else.

Best keyboard made for Mac, IMHO, although I haven't tried the Matias Keyboard Pro yet. I have a couple of their low end boards and they are nice, though. I recommend trying one. They are inexpensive.

I'm typing on an iKeySlim. Good keyboard - much better than the older Apple Extended Pros, and quite a bit cheaper than the current Apple KBs.
