I think the fair market price for used Airs is running anywhere from $1450 to $1550 or so, depending on what other stuff is included (Superdrive, ethernet dongle, etc.).
I bought a used one here locally in Houston several weeks ago. Used it for a few weeks (love the screen and weight, but wasn't too thrilled about the lack of optical drive and small hard drive) and then decided to sell it. Had it up on craigslist for awhile with the typical low ball offers coming in every day. Considered putting it up on eBay, but ultimately decided to list it on craigslist as a trade for an aluminum iMac.
Just sealed the deal last night: got a 20" 2.4GHz core 2 duo with the RAM upgraded to 4GB, 320GB hard drive and AppleCare through 2010 + $200 cash.
