Any way to convert from VGA to...
#1
... coax or RCA ?

I've got a Digital Audio G4 with a video card that has as outputs DVI and ADC (I'm using the ADC with the computer's own monitor). I have a DVI-VGA adapter. But I need to hook this up to another monitor which has only coax and RCA inputs. I have an RF modulator, but it doesn't have VGA inputs, so I'm guessing I need something different to do this...?

Unlikely, but is there any chance the video card is an ATI Radeon 9600 or Nvidia Geforce 5200 originally from a G5?

Ken Sp., I did Google first... what came up were references to a scan converter ... which may work, but is kind of expensive...

The Monoprice link you gave is for RCA to component, not composite. I need the latter, not the former.

Better yet would be VGA to S-video ... right now, I'm using the RF modulator to convert from a composite source to the coax. I could also hook in the S-video to the RF modulator, and switch between sources.

Edit: Grim, no, unfortunately no.

How about this: DVI-I to 3 RCA component cable - 12ft $6.72 http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10235&cs_id=1023504&p_id=2704&seq=1&format=2

Or: VGA to S-Video/RCA (Composite) Adapter Cable - Black

Unless the Video card supports composite video out through the VGA connector, you will need a scan converter. What video card is it?

If it has a DVI port and the card will support it you could try one of these...

Do you know what card you have?

Hmmm, will check ... my remembrance is that it's definitely a Radeon card, maybe a 9000?

Since your card won't support ANY of the direct adapting methods, you'll need a scan converter. You might just be better off selling your card and picking up a Radeon 8500 or a modified 9600/5200 plus an apple adapter.
