This is where it starts going downhill I suppose.

Should be a fun lens though!

wait till you droll after a 50/1.4 or even better a 50/1.2 (and I think Leica once made a 50/0.9, but I don't remember where I read that). Have fun till then, it won't be long though Smile

The 50/0.9 is a MF Nikon lens. I think Canon had a 50/0.9 or F1.0 in a FD mount as well.

I have some Nikon 50 1.2s at work.

Which are more money.

This will inevitably put me into a battle between me and my friend with a D300.

He shoots at ISO3200 and laughs at me.

Great lens Chip! I have almost the same setup.

Nikon D50
Nikon 28-80
Nikon 50mm f1.8
Sigma 70-300mm
Various Filters
Nikon Speedlight SB600
LowePro Slingshot AW100 (Highly recommended bag!)

Post some pictures.

I'll check out the bag.

I've got an Ancient Vivitar flash; I've got to use the D50 on full manual when I shoot with it, but it still works wonderfully.
