Palin's speech, condensed
#1
Shorter version of the speech: Alaska! [Cut to baby] "Community organisers" suck. [Cut to baby] DRILL, BABY, DRILL! [Cut to baby] John McCain = American hero. [Cut to entire family onstage.]

You forgot the part where she said that Dems are retards and gave the DNC a big wet raspberry.

Besides the baby, did anyone else notice how many times the camera cut to Cindy McCain's face? What was that about?

Also, I haven't seen this many old white people is one place since an AARP convention. There doesn't even seem to be an attempt to show diversity this time. At least Reagan's conventions tried to show the Party as diverse and inclusive.

Maybe they were trying to see if the ambient temperature in the arena was going to raise her body temperature above freezing.

Because Elizabeth Kucinich wasn't in the audience.

Dear Gov. Palin,
In your speech last night, you mentioned that there was surplus in your state's royalties for gas and oil, and rather than using that money for the Common Good, you returned that money to individual.

Really? And where did all that money come from?

My wallet.

Since the beginning of your Alaska oil and gas royalty program (1982) each man, woman and child in Alaska has received $27,536 for nothing more than breathing within the borders of your state. And you, being a strict adherent to the US Constitution, which says that no State my apply tariffs to another, will obviously agree that I am due a refund as well.

Since you said last night that people handle finances better than governments, and since that money you've been handing out actually came from my pocket via the price I pay for Gas and Oil, and since you now seek to represent all the People of America, I respectuflly ask that you personally and immediately forward me an Alaska State Check in the amount of $110,144 for my family of four.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

It really was a bit disheartening. Not surprising, just really disappointing. The thing is they either don't see it or don't care.

BCam, I think you got mixed up and sent your message to the wrong place.

I doubt the Alaska Governor's Office or the McCain/Palin Campaign Headquarters visits the MacResource Forum, it's unlikely that they'll get your sincere message. I hope you didn't accidentally send Palin a post meant for us, and send us a message meant for Palin. Oops!

I think this is the address you meant to send it to:

Good luck with your patriotic endeavor. Hope this helps!

Patriotic hell - I just want my money!

There, now I sound like a Republican.

Hey, maybe you're on the right track. McCain and Palin, Obama and Biden, they should be reading this forum, they'd probably learn something!
