Successful Terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since January 23, 2001
1. World Trade Center
2. um...

#1 is a biggie, of course, but after that the safety record looks pretty good.

"Since", now that is funny.

Since 2001 they have been having fun blowing up US soldiers in 2 countries.

the fact that the enemy is even thinking about doing things in the U.S. proves:

they are still around
Mission was NOT accomplished
and the theory that fighting them over there will not require us to fight them here is naive at best

They didn't do that until we sent them there.

I hope they are still around( just to make me look good), mission was not accomplished(no translation needed), fighting them over there so we won't fight them here must fail so we won't do it again.

It seems you're misrepresenting the words of people with whom you disagree.

Its not the foiled terrorist plots that you should worry about, its the unfoiled terrorists plots that suck.

A friend of a friend (for what that is worth) is a Secret Service guy and says you would be shocked and amazed at the quantity and magnitude of the things that have been foiled, but never announced to the public.

Is it better to know this or not?

I am amazed and thankful we have not had any significant occurrences since 09/11/01.

Even all the Bush haters around this forum should acknowledge that.

The 2001 anthrax attacks in the United States, also known as Amerithrax from its Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) case name,
occurred over the course of several weeks beginning on September 18, 2001. Letters containing anthrax spores
were mailed to several news media offices and two Democratic U.S. Senators, killing five people and infecting 17 others.
The primary suspect was not publicly identified until 2008.

As did the quoted post. No one has ever said terrorists aren't still around. No one ever thought the mission that was accomplished meant that there will never be another terrorist in existence, and no one ever said that fighting them over there would mean we don't have to fight them over here. kj.

The one I responded to presumed to "translate" what was said. I've always felt this was terribly disingenuous, since listening to Gloria Allred on L.A. radio saying "So what you're saying is..."
