The hypothesis that solar cycles will offset global warming trends is largely untested.
Those leaping to conclusions that we're all going to be saved by a slight change in solar cycles or solar wind are welcome to invest in heating technologies. Since improvements in heating-efficiency will save on electricity use and fossil fuel consumption, that will be helpful regardless of whether the interglacial ends in the next couple of decades.

I MacMagus hit on the crux of everyone's argument
"largely untested."
Reducing pollution and improving efficiency is always a good thing, whether you're Amish or a Silicon valley Technomage. Who cares if the end results are 'saving the world' or just saving some money and environmental impact ? both are laudable goals.
Oh, and like my Moms Republican Women's T-Shirt says:
"Conservation IS Conservative".

You could lose your head denying global warming in medieval times?
Are you OK?

I have upped my wood burning to two cords this season. Stop me.
