He's one of Illinois' finest. (I think he was shipped up there from Maryland to run against Obama for Senate.)

This may come as a big surprise to many, but I voted for Obama in the US Senate race 4 years ago because I could just not bring myself to waste a vote for Keyes as a legitimate candidate. I had hoped the landslide victory of Obama would make our state GOP wake up and smell the coffee. Unfortunately, it did not work and we have the likes of Blagojevich and Roland Burris to deal with.

Although I do subscribe to much of what he has to say, he is not a good messenger to say it.
