And Bunning throws one high and inside

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning predicted over the weekend that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely be dead from pancreatic cancer within nine months.

During a wide-ranging 30-minute speech on Saturday at the Hardin County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner, Bunning said he supports conservative judges "and that's going to be in place very shortly because Ruth Bader Ginsburg … has cancer."

"Bad cancer. The kind that you don't get better from," he told a crowd of about 100 at the old State Theater.

"Even though she was operated on, usually, nine months is the longest that anybody would live after (being diagnosed) with pancreatic cancer," he said.

Dennis's link leads with Bunning's apology. Nice to point that out, Dennis. The rest of the story is over a week old.

Is Bunning a doctor?

I work with someone who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at least 5 years ago. He has been close to death many times but he has prevailed. You never know.

So what if it's over a week old? No one has posted it. The apology was an addendum. I wouldn't be talking about lame OPs if I were you. You are the Queen of Lame OPs.

“I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsburg,” Bunning, a Kentucky Republican, said in a statement released by his office.

Umm saying that you're sorry if someone was offended by your remarks is NOT an apology.

Saying "I'm sorry, I did something WRONG" is an actual apology.

What an asshat

Just replace "Ruth Bader Ginsburg" with "Steve Jobs" and you've really got some old news.

I like the way Bunning feels comfortable telling 100 people that a Supreme Court Justice is going to die of cancer. Then has HIS OFFICE ISSUE A STATEMENT as an apology. Yeah, a real stand up guy. Toss in the hand grenade, then hide in your office. A man's man, or a sleazebag supreme.

Bunning must be saying a lot of wrong things lately because he is worried the National Republican Senatorial Committee may consider backing someone else.

Bunning says he might sue if GOP backs another

Didn't former Repubublican Senator George Allen also apologize to anyone offended by his use of "macaca" and not for his actually using it? That worked out well for him.
