just glad George Bush didn't say something stupid like this, cause we would have never heard the end of it :poke:

Haven't googled yet, but I would have guessed Daimler. Or Benz? kj.

Benz.

So does this mean we can walk away from the automobile after all?
Hmm. Yes, I think it does. kj.

edit: I forgot Mr. Benz is probably your Anton LaVey. A little slow on the uptakeWink .

Not nearly as bad as,

"Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii,"

But of course nobody remembers it while Quayle is still reeling from potato/potatoe flap.

I hated the potatoe thing. A mistake...a silly, moment-in-time mistake. Big deal.

It seems so trivial now. GWB completely blew Quayle out of the water in this area. Quayle suddenly looks like Shakespeare in light of GWB's kindergarten-level command of the english language.

Picture Dan Quayle and George W. Bush together in your mind.

Doesn't inspire much awe, does it?

Could be interesting. Who'd be the top?

I think Quayle would have skated on the potatoe thing if he hadn't insisted on correcting a 12-year-old kid who had it right.
