they charge (8.9%?) if you get a cash voucher that you can us ein the grocery store, but 0% if you get an amazon.com vourcher (and not only amazon)

I did that all the time as a kid. I would collect change and turn it in for cash. Of course I would use my mom's account number and she would do the transaction, but the process was the same.

Nowadays I just put all my coins into a big sock that I use to beat vagrants whenever the opportunity arises. To date it has not.
