Hello! I am heading to Dallas, TX, tomorrow for a week with the Air National Guard. What are some things I should try and see and places I should eat in my free time?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Fort Worth?

Dealey Plaza and The Sixth Floor Museum are obvious.
Dallas has a great art museum downtown. If you like BBQ, I can recommend Sonny Bryan's. Truly, though, I've never had a bad meal in Dallas, so go with your instincts.

Do they still have, "Po' Boys" restaurants down there? That's where I had my first "country fried steak" with gravy. One of my all-time faves now.

I'd have to spend a half hour at Dealey Plaza and see the Book Repository and grassy knoll and the little JFK box memorial. With my own eyes. In colour.
That's probably an old fart thing, though. Might wish I hadn't, too.

Yes, I really want to see where JFK was shot. That is fascinating history to me.
Thank you for the options!

I second Sonny Bryan's, but go to the original location.
But there are tons of good places to eat in Dallas. Check here for "Best of Dallas" type stuff. http://www.dallasobserver.com/bestOf

See the Rodeo at Fort Worth. Fun if you've never seen a rodeo before.
