... as in, "Well, we'd really have to think about that", "Well, I have other things to do that day" or "Well, let's see how it goes" ... it seems to have become the way to introduce the sentence with implied doubt as to what follows.
Well, you'd better think twice about using "well" at the beginning of the sentence, unless you want to totally PO the person to whom you're saying it.
