New one to me: Want the Social Security No. of a dead person?
#7
Here's the one from FamilySearch:

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/f...h_ssdi.asp&clear_form=true

I ran my husband's name through both RootsWeb and GenealogyBank, and neither returned any results. He died in 2004, and I know he's in there. When I run it through FamilySearch, I got his date of birth, place he was living when his SS number was issued, and his date of death and the location. It's definitely the best of the three free choices we've given. Ancestry is fee-based, so I didn't check that one.
