Well, as somebody who as actually performed surgery with the robot, I would caution you that there is a lot of "excitement" and media attention to this device, but it is not necessarily the greatest thing for every surgery. It is heavily advertised, usually by hospitals, to gain market share. In my opinion, it is useful for certain kidney operations and a whole lot less useful for prostate surgery. It is far more important that the surgeon operating on you is skilled and thoughtful than the use of some new tool.
