People have complained for decades that the Yankees bought their great teams. And they have had some good ones.

I agree the Yankee management spends mucho dollars to get the players they want, but they can only buy players, not a team.
If they're lucky, the players will mesh and create a team.

I'm a Red Sox fan by the way.
