While this would normally be a private matter, we are not just talking about an anonymous person, we are talking about an athlete trying to sell a brand worth multi millions. In this case, the Tiger Woods brand is under scrutiny. The people at Amex, Accenture, Tag Heur, Nike that are paying him millions to promote their product probably don't consider this a private matter.
I am not making a morality judgement here but it looks like he was very reckless with these matters. To ask for privacy now from the media is like asking water not to be wet. If you are going to run around with a person making a waitress's wages, she is probably goijng to sell you out to the first tabloid that pays out thousands and that is chump change to Tiger.
