Making the big move from G4 to intel powermac. advice needed.

It has been so long since I have swapped computers. It would be easier if the intel still use ide drives but sata.

Since my old machine has been patched, updated, trial software installed to death over the last 8 years, I want to start fresh.

I have done a clean install, loaded most of my main software and updated. Now I am ready to start pulling over the preferences, bookmarks, Itunes library, plugins etc.

Does migration assistant give me the option to limit what transfers?

What would be the most efficient way to do this?
