Yep, I love my iPod touch! 8 GB model, with hundreds of free books on it, about 100 songs, 100 photos, no videos yet, and still have over 5 GB free. Also has 36 programs on it. These things are great! And, I hardly ever go anywhere lately that doesn't have open wifi. Especially now that I am on ATT DSL, I can log on to my ATT wifi access almost anywhere. Definitely a benefit of having ATT DSL at home now.
The way I explain it is that the iPod touch is the same as iPhone except for the Edge/3G (internet access anywhere you can get an ATT phone signal - many people just do not seem to get this!) chip and camera. In other words, iPhone without phone and camera = iPod touch... now, just wait for the iPad. All the above (no phone, but 3G option for internet access anywhere ATT signal is available), plus iWork, etc., and who knows what else will be coming for it!
