Thanks Doc... the article is aptly titled "Cool Geek Tricks...", and I'm gonna hang on to it, but I'm thinking some off the shelf fax software is probably more suitable for our needs... I guess I'm also hoping I can tweak the PM7300 and get it back in action... it seems as though the main HD isn't spinning up properly on boot up, so one of these days when I get some help around here, I'll take it apart a bit, and check out the jumpers... I'm hoping the problem is a simple jumper config issue... one the older drives in it died, and I replaced both 2GB drives w/ 9GB drives, and everything worked fine until I power cycled the machine which I try to do every month or two... then problems on the restart(s). I hooked up an external boot drive, and if I use a utility to start the main internal drive, it then mounts, so that's why I'm hoping it's a jumper issue, given the symptoms. After mounting, it would boot from it occasionally, but mostly not, so I'm thinking we got lucky after the initial install, but in the mean time, we need an easy solution for OS X fax saving...
