I have to say, Sawyer is a really attractive man. I read an article about him the other day, and it said that he was raised just north of where I live, in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. He was working as a model and actor and had tried really hard to get rid of his southern accent. He had just about gotten rid of it and then he was cast as Sawyer and had to pick it up again. You can tell that it is a real southern accent, and not like that horrible fake one that Kyra Sedgwick affects on The Closer. I can't stand to listen to her overdoing it.
