Sharing internet over USB-- how hard?
#16
Winston got it.

Anyway, I'm here now, on the new iMac, with the Ethernet connected to the new mac from the modem. The modem has exactly -one- ethernet port.

I brought a 500 GB external USB hard drive and am putting everything from the G4 onto it. Will then have to come back and transfer from the 500 to the iMac (for whatever files are still needed). Migration assistant only took the content from the startup volume. Did an OK job of taking here users over, though. Major major carnage in terms of dock question marks. Will need to spend hours and hours teaching her how to use new apps.

MDDs don't even have native USB2-- thank god there's an upgrade card in there. There is no Airport card and no Bluetooth. We're talking about a mac from 2003 here, folks.
