Sharing internet over USB-- how hard?

Well, another friend stopped by and I ended up staying until everything transferred from the G4 to the external. Left her up and running on the new mac, able to scan and print, but there's still major work to be done.
I do need to get a Firewire 400 to 800 adapter. Wonder if Monoprice is back up . . .
