1st, 2nd and 3rd: all in EU

Are you intentionally misunderstanding this? Whether people are free to discuss such topics is not the issue, and many threads discuss sports scores, exciting TV show episodes, cliffhangers, and the like. However, almost everybody who does that has the courtesy to not reveal the ending or spoil the cliffhanger in the subject line of their thread. Many people also clearly label threads with spoilers by typing the word "spoilers". This is just standard forum (or watercooler) etiquette. Intentionally putting spoilers in subject lines, whether it is sports, battlestar galactica episodes, newly released whodunit movies, american idol winners or whatever, is plain rude.

I understand it completely, thanks. I think the problem you're having is that you're stating something as fact that isn't so. Not sure if perhaps you're purposely not acknowledging that people are going to and in fact do discuss outcomes of games or movies, etc. many places, including forums (even in thread titles at times). It's silly to think one can live in a bubble and not be exposed to it. I'll assume you don't listen to the radio or flip through tv channels after a game has finished but prior to you being able to view your recording. They constantly announce scores, etc. If you're willing to wall yourself off from that example, surely you can see that an internet forum is no different. I mean, it's not like seconds before they are going to ruin it for everyone by reporting a score they announce, "for those of you that tuned in to hear the scores but don't really wanna know what happened, you should not listen". There are no spoiler alerts anywhere else for the most part but it's expected in an internet forum? Really? It's nice if someone does it but when you expect it, it then becomes a demand. Again, I don't do it and I even avoided earlier in a thread about the game but I assuredly wouldn't get my blood pressure up over something so meaningless had someone else done it. It's just crazy.
