Quicken problems

I'm still using Quicken for Mac 2006 for personal finance on an old iMac G4. When I entered the program this morning I noticed that entries made over the last 3 days do not show up. I no longer have the CD from which the program was installed, so reinstalling the software is not practical. I checked the backup that was done yesterday and the data is not there either. Any ideas what the problem is and how to correct?
