Since we're on the Political side:
I agree that "Nixon" was an excellent movie.
If you have any interest whatsoever in the history of the Vietnam War, "The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara" is a must-see. Directed by Errol Morris.
"The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers." This was on PBS last week and it's available from Netflix. I wasn't able to watch the whole thing but what I saw was excellent.
"Wag the Dog" was very good. Maybe it'll seem tame by now!
