Granted the OWC SSD is not compared, yet against the posted speeds for their drive, this one looks faster. AFAIK, this is the fastest SSD available (currently). I don't know about having a computer to have trim support; the new MBP I am using now has it, and that is why I am excited.
I am sure that some enterprising individual will figure out a workaround for older computers that do not natively have trim support.
