Political Kookbiscuit Reaction Rundown

Yeah, or you can blame Clinton for shooting at Obama and .. missing. Or GH Bush for not going the extra yard and taking out Saddam when he had the chance. Or Ronnie for training the Taliban to off the Rooskies. Hell. You can blame the damn Brits for giving India away, and causing Partition, and a near 30 year off and on war which saw the US and the USSR use Pakistan and India respectively as proxies. You want to keep going ? Blame the damn Coptic Christians for not offing that desert bandit, Muhammad, when they had the chance ?

The chain of mistakes stretches back through time. President Obama was on the hot seat when that particular blood debt got called in. He responded just fine. And his words to America and to the world were just.. perfect.

These instances that you cite involve judgment and/or circumstances which affected or prevented success. I don't fault any of the previous Presidents for the outcomes. Clinton was restricted by serious legal implications; GHW was right not to go into Baghdad; Reagan's move was instrumental in bringing down the Soviet Union

W. exhibited gross negligence on countless occasions. He ran this country the same way he's run his life: recklessly and with an arrogant sense of entitlement. The evidence is voluminous.

Specifically, on bin Laden and Al-Quaeda, Bush showed a bewildering lack of interest. He was focused on Iraq before he was even elected. We all know the story about revenge for the attempt on his father. The evidence of making the intelligence fit the objective is abundantly clear, especially in light of all that has been revealed since.
