While living in Oman, wife and I often had one of my Omani colleagues and his wife over for dinner. Once I asked him what would happen if we inadvertently served them pork. Although a very devout Muslim, his response was that as long as he did not know about it until afterward it would not be a problem.
The dominant Islamic sect in Oman is Ibadi, with roots in East Africa but rare in the rest of the Muslim world. One of the primary attributes of Ibadi is its tolerance of others. Here is a link that tells about it.
