It doesn't matter what i say here, I always seem to somehow get called out.
To say that because I may be comfortable in my current "Medicare" state and have no concern for the fate of the younger generations smacks of some preconceived judgmental opinion you have if me, rgG. I am not heartless. Geeez.
First, it is because of what you say, and have said over and over again, that I called you out on this one. That, and the fact that you have a very intimate knowledge the Medicare system, and should at least have an opinion on how the current system works, or doesn't work.
You usually support all the right wing agendas that come down the pike, now with this one, it is, "I don't know enough." It does matter what you say here, and any notion I have of you is only because of the bile I have seen you spew forth on this forum. As far as you being heartless, I will say that I have seen that tone in many of your previous posts, so that may be where I got that impression.
This issue us of particular interest to me and one that I would think you would have an opinion on, since you seemed to have had a lot of opinions on Obamacare when it was being debated. If you were so against a single payer system, like Obama wanted to have in the mix, I would assume that you would be all for Medicare going that way, especially since that is what the conservative Republicans seem to want so much. But, maybe you have seen how well the single payer system has worked, and now you might be a little reluctant to endorse this new plan, even though it comes from one of your right wing darlings.
I am an independent. I have no trouble disliking a lot of what both sides do, so don't assume I am a liberal at all costs. I just hate to see some ultra right wing, birth certificate demanding person like you, have no opinion on something this important. So yes, I am calling you out on this issue, and you did not answer the call.
I'm not sure it's really fair to ask someone to choose between something they've been using and are familiar with, and something that hasn't really been described in any depth. Fwiw, I also don't think it's fair to label her as heartless. I haven't had that impression.
At any rate, if Obamacare resembles something Ryan would do, I want no part of it. kj.
