Is there a reason you can't attach a sheet to something stiff? A 4x8 sheet of expanded polystyrene insulation gives you more than 100" diagonal and doesn't cost much. You could attach the sheet permanently with 3M 77, or just wrap it tightly and duct tape the edges to the back.
