Gotta pony up $499 for SL Server... will be curious to see how Apple handles the bait and switch outcry over this. Apple has dropped the cost of Server already w/ SL; unlimited for all at the old 10 user price, w/ substantial discounts available on CL & ebay, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if there ends up being a $250-$300 more direct path for non-SL Server owners to get hooked up to Lion. From what I can glean, Lion is Apple's next big thing to get their hooks directly into users' bank accounts via the App Store, so they'll probably drop the access costs in the predictable entry places.
