Cracked screen on Macbook pro 13"
#5
The glass on MBP's is held in by adhesive. Cracked glass is a PITA to remove (I've done it twice). Once it is cracked, it is more likely to crack more when you start removing it, and then it is just messy and difficult. Whole glass removes without too much trouble.

Removing the glass just requires a heat gun and a heavy duty suction cup (the one I got with my glass replacement actually seems to be the suction cup section of a GPS windshield mount). Other vendors sell better ones that have better handholds. I got my glass from: http://www.powerbookmedic.com/Unibody-Ma...17333.html

The other annoying part is getting the new glass back on without getting any dust trapped.
