I didn't see the play, but from looking at the photos, I think that play by the runner should be illegal. Blocking the plate is a time honored tradition, but I always thought that the runner "punching" the catcher with both arms is going to far. Throwing a cross body block is fine. Bowling him over is fine. But punching him? I don't think so.

Buster has no one to blame but himself. He didn't have the ball, he setup in a poor position, and he didn't give the runner a place to go.
