Cook rice
1.5 ratio of liquid to white rice
add salt and butter if you like
Dump liquid onto pot and bring to boil
Stir in rice and cover pan
lower heat to low and cook 25 to 30 minutes.
5 minute before done fluff rice with fork
For brown rice change ratio to 2 of liquid to 1 of rice
Cook as above but for one hour.
Some times I will brown the rice in a fry pan and add chicken stock instead of water, maybe throw in some minced sauteed onions
I use the same pot for a lot of other things. It is My pop corn popper.
I don't have cabinet space for all the gadgets.
