It's likely that re-installing wouldn't fix anything anyway. Whatever the problem is, it's most likely in your Quicken database, or preferences file.
I would make backup copied of both of those before trying anything in case things get even worse.
I would try some simple tests of manually adding a single transaction to see if it sticks, then quitting and re-open to make sure it's still there.
There are also a key sequence (cmd-option-i) to re-build the database index that might help.
