Grateful, I'll hug my boy just as soon as I hit the "post" button. I'm sure others have done the same with their children.

I can't think of a handle that is better for this situation than "Grateful." I know that's what I was thinking as I thanked God for the six years he's given me with my son.

We all pray that Jesse comes out of this and is fully recovered. We're all sorry for your hurt and frustration.

That said, thank you for your courage in dealing with something that no parent is prepared for.

Thanks also for reminding us what this wonderful thing called the Internet is really for — to connect us.
