Actually 10.6 is an archive and install by default. There's no "over the top" option anymore. Also it won't hurt to try just 10.6.8 because I'm pretty sure the OS won't even let you install it as it'll claim you already have 10.6.8 installed.
I kind of thought that.

So, is there an direct method to reinstall Safari 5.0.5 without going all the way back to reinstalling 10.6 (would I have to first install 10.5 and then install 10.6 over it and finally update with the 10.6.8 combo updater?)
That seems overwhelming to me, plus I'm not sure where I put all my old install discs.
