"My bad". This dumb phrase is a different thing, and I do think it should go. I agree w/Drew; people often use it to defuse and trivialize the guilt of their poor behavior, so they can get away w/anything.

Accuser: That was awful. You're a sick individual!
Man: My bad...
Strange take on that. When I hear it used it's by someone admitting they screwed up and taking responsibility.
