I grew up in N.O. and went to summer camp in North Carolina with lots of kids from south Louisiana. One good friend was from Ville Platte. Another friend I think was from Terrebonne Parish, but I don't remember the town. A girl I sort of liked (we never quite got together) was from Franklin. One of the guys was actually named Boudreau (kind of the protypical Cajun name).

One of the extended McIlhenny family went to school with me in N.O. for 8th grade. We had a great class trip to Avery Island that year.
