A look at Windows 8 screen shots

Looks like M$ has abandoned what's left of the desktop metaphor in favor of making their OS look just like a website. Which is OK, as I never understood their desktop anyway, where you couldn't even see your drives without opening "My Computer" (and even that icon disappeared at some point).
