For those that are uninformed and jump to conclusions, the screenshots you are looking at are the 'Metro View'...which is geared towards tablets/phones/touch screens and various devices.
Windows 8 also retains the normal/classic 'Desktop View' which is "Windows 7-ish" and what 98% of the world will be using, especially in enterprise/government, and you can toggle between the two, depending on your preference with the computing device you are using.
